Mental and emotional abuse is invisible, but it does persist in the body and can echo painfully over the years. I am observing my face while I am retelling invisible memories aloud during the imaginal exposure.
Recordings were made during PTSD treatment sessions using the prolonged exposure method.

The material for this work are CCTV camera recordings often titled as compilations of what is unusual, weird and the best. But what separates the interesting from the uninteresting? The repeatability and uniqueness of the situation or maybe the nature of human curiosity orbits around his concentration?

That day, I was getting ready to record, it turned out that I couldn’t find a T-shirt without which I couldn’t see the point or the possibility of making the planned video. And I fell into a state of compulsive loss-seeking, because without it, the work was lost. The film is therefore the result of an accident, it was made in time before something was supposed to happen. It is a record of behind-the-scenes life that we do not allow the recipient to see on a daily basis.

Hiding in your own house. Rooms where nothing happens are coming to life under the influence of breaths and glances of hidden extras. The silence began to seem ominous and the wait for being found turns from feigned to disturbing.

I’ve been living here for half a year. This is a typical estate from the sixties and most of its inhabitants got their flats during the communist regime. They have issues with things that are strange to me, but they stop clinging when one takes their groceries up the stairs from time to time. Around November, traces of blood began to appear regularly on the stairway. Still, I don’t know if it’s blood actually. I had various suspicions. Are the neighbors too old fashioned to wear sanitary pads? I imagine a dry old lady climbing the stairs from above while raspberry drops drip from under her skirt. No it is not possible. And stupid. Maybe someone broke their nose? I remember following such tracks for several kilometers from the bus stop where someone the night before was letting his nose lush, all the way up to the market, where they broke it. Sometimes a guy passes me on the starirway with a female (I think) chihuahua who is as senile as he is. The dog has an old, torn bandage on both rear legs. It doesn’t walk like a normal dog, but rather crawls on the heels, where the dirty bandage bets slightly brownish. Grandpa drags this dog down the sidewalk to the poor grass patch in front of the block, the dog does its thing or not and is then dragged back up the stairs up and over and over again. Sometimes I wonder: Who’s more confused on what’s going on? Neither the neighbor’s nor the dog’s blood has been seen for quite some time, nothing ever happens.

Video’s from places where happen Terrorist Acts, between 2015-2017
– Christmas market attack at Breitscheidplatz in Berlin ( 12 victims, 56 injured)
– London Borought Market attack, and Westminster Bridge ( 8 victims, 48 injured)
– Paris Bataclan concert hall attack (87 victims and many injured )
My work pays attention to oblivion in places of such tragic events, there is no trace of what happened. No symbol commemorates these tragedies. All these places are usually very popular and nice for tourists, which caused the fact why terrorists planned their own attacks there. Now, life continues as if nothing was going on.
Everything is covered by everyday life. The only change are installed security barriers, made from concrete and metal on Westminster Bridge, and two others, separating pedestrians from the street, in order to prevent another tragedy of this kind.
